Hanging...

Last night, Ian and I went to the 360 bar at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, next to the Burj Al Arab (the iconic hotel that looks like a Sail), for the birthday of our new friend Adam.

Jumeirah beach Hotel from 360 Bar
The 360 bar itself is a round building of two levels with amazing views of the Downtown area with the Burj Khalifa, both the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Burj Al Arab, and in the distance The Atlantis.  It is one of the best in Dubai situated at the end of a long jetty which walks you out to sea.  The walk (or the buggy ride if you are happy to wait) is quite long with large yachts on the right hand side and the Burj Al Arab on the left.

The drinks are the same price as the top London bars with cocktails 75aed (£14).  We didn't get a table although in hindsight this was a school boy error.  The minimum spend for a table here is 4,000aed, but considering a round averaged 450aed, our group definately spent much more than that.

We left there about 12.30pm to go to the Movenpick and catch the end of the Chelsea V Man U game, stayed for one and buggered off as we were all hanging.

Right now though, I am still in bed even though it is 4.04pm having not been very well from last night.  Ian has just ordered us a Wendy's delivery, so I am going to sign off and watch The Inbetweeners - Perfect hangover film....
